Working with finbird and Daniela was honestly one of the true highlights of any customer service experience I’ve ever, after 10 years of being in Germany. Originally we reached out to a different well-known English-friendly mortgage advisory, but after several confusing interactions felt that advisor was giving us options that didn’t make sense, while also being strangely pushy.
On the contrary with finbird, from the very beginning, Daniela laid out for us clear, helpful information regarding available options, especially re my not-straightforward situation at the time as a blue card holder (not yet permanent resident) and my partner as an EU but not German citizen. She walked us through a detailed, realtime overview of what different banks were offering, so we knew going further into the process what would work for us.
As we considered different properties, she gave us honest and helpful advice every single time, what to consider and what the banks thought about the market value. She was always super responsive and generous with her time, going truly above and beyond to work with our work schedule and find out valuable info for us so we could make a good decision. She even helped us with negotiations with the real estate agent and handling parts of that back and forth to save us time, and gave super clear step-by-step instructions along the way for every piece of admin needed with the bank, so it was never confusing or overwhelming.
In the end this led to us finding and buying an apartment that we truly believe was exceptional value for money, and getting everything finalized in what was probably record time. Even the real estate agent from Engel & Völkers told us he never seen such an exceptional mortgage advisor in his career and asked us how we found her.
I really can’t recommend finbird enough and can confidently say this is THE mortgage advisor you want if you’re an expat looking to buy in Germany! If only all customer service experiences could be like this one 🙂 Thank you again, Daniela!!!!!
